Resources are limited.  We rely heavily on volunteers and we have far too many innocent people who need our help.  And it takes a great deal of effort to get the prosecutor and the court to entertain the possibility that the system erred.

If you are eligible (see criteria above), send a letter to Innocence Matters, PO Box 1098, Torrance, CA 90505 with details about your claim of innocence.  If you convince us you meet the eligibility criteria AND we are ready to begin reviewing other cases, we will send you an application.

Please understand it will take many months before we are in touch with you.  Do not call the office; we will not provide updates on the phone.  Be patient and continue looking.  When we are able, we will be in touch.
